GPO 150th Emancipation Proclamation Exhibit

In conjunction with the publication of Keeping America Informed, the U.S. Government Printing Office (GPO) has opened an exhibit on its 150 years of service to the Nation. Located in GPO Headquarters in Washington, DC at 732 North Capitol St. NW, Washington DC, the exhibit features the tools of the printing trade, from hand-set type to digital imaging, along with rare photographs and copies of such historic Government publications as the Warren Commission report. Note: A highlight is a rarely seen GPO's original printer’s proof of the Emancipation Proclamation on temporary loan from the Library of Congress.

Public Hours : Open daily from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
